Characterised by outstanding mar resistance, dimensional stability, and printability without pretreatment, LEXAN™ Backlit Solutions are the best polycarbonate films for screen printing with UV and solvent inks; digital printing using UV or latex inks; and applications over LED or fluorescent lighting. Available in clear, or a wide array of white colors and textures.
LEXAN™ Digital Print Film prevents ink delamination of adhesive labels in digital printing. These films are primed and designed explicitly for increased digital UV ink adhesion and robust pressure sensitivity on the printed surface for the highest-quality result.

In December 2022, Röhm, supported by the private equity firm Advent International, agreed to acquire SABIC's Functional Forms business unit, which specializes in polycarbonate-based films and sheets sold under the LEXAN™ brand.
This strategic move aimed to enhance Röhm's position in the transparent films and sheets market by combining SABIC's polycarbonate products with Röhm's existing polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) offerings, known under the PLEXIGLAS® (ACRYLITE® in the Americas) brand.
By November 2023, Röhm and SABIC announced plans to merge Röhm's Acrylic Products and SABIC's Functional Forms business units into a new entity named Polyvantis.
This new company, POLYVANTIS, aims to become a leading supplier of film and sheet products, serving various industries such as building and construction, transportation and aviation, electrical and electronics, automotive, and home and garden. Polyvantis is expected to have approximately 1,500 employees and operate 16 production sites across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
