  • Higher impact vs. standard PMMA for better durability in handling and service.
  • Lighter than glass with glass-like clarity and color fidelity.
  • More UV-stable than many plastics, helping resist yellowing outdoors.
  • Easier to print and polish than polycarbonate in many graphic workflows.
  • Balanced toughness & optics at a competitive cost.

  • High impact resistance – engineered modifier package for improved drop/impact performance.
  • Optical clarity – low haze, high light transmission for vibrant graphics and crisp displays.
  • Outdoor weatherability – inherent acrylic UV stability for long-term color and gloss retention.
  • Print-ready surface – compatible with screen, UV, and digital inks (check ink supplier guidance).
  • Thermoformable & form-stable – suitable for vacuum forming, drape forming, and embossing.
  • Die-cutting & converting friendly – excellent for kiss-cut labels, overlays, and precision gaskets.
  • Finish options – gloss, matte/anti-glare, textured; clear and tinted colors available.
  • Adhesive compatibility – bonds well with common PSAs for laminates and overlays.

  • Durability with premium look – stands up to handling while preserving a high-end surface.
  • Consistent print quality – smooth laydown, sharp detail, and strong color saturation.
  • Design flexibility – forms into curves and features without sacrificing appearance.
  • Lower weight & safer handling vs. glass; reduces freight and installation risk.
  • Cost-effective lifecycle – UV stability and impact performance reduce rework and replacements.

  • Retail & POP displays – lenses, shelf talkers, danglers, illuminated signage faces.
  • Graphic overlays & nameplates – appliance panels, consumer electronics, instrumentation.
  • Protective window & screen covers – kiosks, vending, ticketing, and information displays.
  • Transportation & interiors – trim accents, light diffusers, cabin placards (non-structural).
  • Architectural signage – wayfinding, menu boards, standoff signs (indoor/outdoor).
  • Packaging & brand elements – premium cartons, windowed cartons, cosmetic displays.
  • Light management – diffuser and anti-glare grades for LED and backlit systems.

  • Polymer: Impact-modified PMMA (acrylic).
  • Finishes: Gloss / Matte / Anti-glare / Textured; clear and tints.
  • Thickness range: Commonly 125–750 μm (5–30 mil) with custom options.
  • Processing: Print, die-cut, laser/rout, cold/hot bend, vacuum/drape form, emboss.
  • Optics: High light transmission, low haze (grade/finish dependent).
  • UV/weathering: Outdoor-capable grades available for signage and displays.
  • Regulatory: RoHS/REACH-friendly grades available.

  • Surface prep: Wipe with approved cleaners; avoid aggressive solvents that may craze acrylic.
  • Ink systems: Use inks validated for acrylic/PMMA; run adhesion and rub tests.
  • Adhesives: Choose acrylic-friendly PSAs; test for clarity, bond strength, and cold-flow.
  • Forming after print: Use inks/PSAs rated for downstream heat if forming post-print.

Acrylic is harder than many plastics but not as hard as glass. For high-touch or high-abrasion areas, specify matte/AG textures or ask about hard-coat film options to elevate mar resistance.

  • UV-stable acrylic chemistry retains gloss and color better than many alternatives.
  • Impact-modified base improves break resistance during installation and service.
  • Consistent print & polish yield premium brand presentation in sunlight and artificial light.
