We are pleased to announce an exclusive partnership for a new type of technology by Renias in Japan who manufactures monolithic polycarbonate sheet named Rencraft®, available from 6mm to 20mm, and thicker in laminate form.

This product is manufactured by injection compression molding, not the traditional extrusion method, meaning it has none of the normal ripple orientation or distortion associated with extruded polycarbonate. Optics are at least as good if not better than glass, with the added benefit of a super hardcoat option that is as abrasion resistant as glass, which is ideal for areas where windscreen wiper blades will be used, or in very high traffic or extreme applications.

This product is half the weight of glass for an equivalent thickness, and has safety glass certifications for European, US and Japanese transport industries. Being polycarbonate, it is virtually unbreakable.

This Rencraft® polycarbonate is currently being used Globally for automotive windows, forestry machinery for cabin protection, construction machinery, bullet train and bus windows & sunroofs and bus driver protection screens.

It has a 15-year warranty against yellowing and hardcoat delamination, so is more than double the industry standard warranty for hardcoated polycarbonates.
