Autotex® AM is a unique hard coated antimicrobial film incorporating Microban® antimicrobial protection. The Microban® technology is incorporated into the Autotex® AM textured hard coat during the manufacturing process. This process ensures even distribution of the antimicrobial agent throughout the textured hard coat and the film surface.
When bacteria comes into contact with Autotex®AM with Microban®, the antimicrobial function disrupts the bacterial cell wall killing or inhibiting bacterial growth. The result is that the film surface of Autotex® AM provides dependable and constant protection against bacterial contamination. Autotex® AM is part of the Autotex® film range.
Autotex® DP is a high quality textured film, consisting of a polyester base coated with a flexible chemically bonded, UV-cured textured coating. The primer surface on Autotex® DP has been developed to be receptive to the Hewlett Packard Indigo digital printing presses.
Autotex is a high quality textured polyester film, consisting of a base polyester with a flexible, chemically bonded and UV-cured textured coating.

In order to overcome this issue, MacDermid Autotype has specially developed Autotex® XE, a UV resistant version of Autotex®.
Autotex is the world’s leading range of hardcoated polyester films designed for technically demanding applications, such as membrane touch switch overlays, touchpads and fascias.
Autotex Touch is a new generation finish maintaining all the superb Autotex performance characteristics, proven over 30 years. Developed to support the increased integration of touch pads into switching devices, Autotex Touch builds on the strengths of Autotex, to deliver a unique tactile, silky smooth and easy glide finish coupled with an anti-fingerprint surface.
Autotex® XE is a polyester film, with specially constructed hard coat and primer layers. Unlike conventional films however, that can delaminate, become brittle or flake under extreme conditions; the various layers in Autotex® XE are formulated to resist ultraviolet light, moisture and wide variations in temperature. Conventional films without the special MacDermid Autotype UV resistance go brittle and yellow very quickly when subjected to UV light.

MacDermid Alpha’s functional films protect and enhance the value of customer’s products and brands with highly durable hardcoated polymer films.
